Restaurant description: Flor & Fjære is a buffet-style restaurant set in a unique location - wonderful gardens on an otherwise exposed island just ten kilometers from central Stavanger Norway. Originally the private summer home of a family of flower growers with garden centre, miracles have been performed by sheltering and developing the garden and the once-a-year dinner party has grown to be once or twice a day, six days a week from May to September.
Location description: Flor og Fjare restaurant and gardens is on the island of Hidle, about 10 kilometers north-east of central Stavanger. The boat trip takes about 20 minutes, unless you opt for the longer boat trip via Lysefjord.
Directions: Take the boat from vågen, the main harbour in Stavanger - unless you have your own boat. The island is sometimes called South Hidle - there is another island called Hidle a little further north.
