Description: Nåløyet - meaning "eye of the needle" and sounding like "Naw-lawyer" - is a cosy little bar complete with open wood fire close to the main harbour in central Stavanger Norway. Quite and relaxed in the early evening, it gets busy and much noisier later on.
Location description: Naaloyet is situated close to vågen, the main harbour, in the basement of old wooden seahouses, with stone cobbled squares on either side, and other bars and restaurants around.
Directions: From the fish market at the end of the main harbour, cross the road towards gamle Stavanger on the west side, across the cobbled square and fountain to the little passageway through to the next square. The entrance to Nåløyet is on your left
