hundreds of skiing or boarding spectators and some of the most skillful
freeriders flying down an incredibly steep mountain side.|
This is not a sport for beginners. Pre-qualifying is open to anyone (the day before the main event), but it takes skill and experience - as well as courage - to plan your route down.

at Røldal skisenter, take the chairlift to to top, then either walk
up or take the highest T-bar lift and traverse across to the challenge site.
This is not really something for younger children to enjoy - it is not easy getting up, they may not then want to just sit and watch, and you might not want to give them crazy ideas.
