Description: Sauda Camping is a well-equipped camp site for tents and caravans, with 12 hyttes (cabins) for 4 people and 6 cabins with 6 beds. It is situated beside the fjord at Saudasjøen, which is 3 km south of Sauda in the Ryfylke area of west Norway. It is popular with summer visitors to the area, as well as winter skiers. There is a shop, and also a lovely Bistro/Bar at the site. 
Location description:: Sauda Camping is beside SaudaFjord at SaudaSjøen, which is 3 km south of the town of Sauda in the Ryfylke area of north Rogaland county in south west Norway. Sauda skisenter is just 5 km up the hill at Svandalen. It is about 2 hours drive from Haugesund and 3 hours or so from Stavanger. |

Directions: From Haugesund take the E134 road towards Oslo then take RV 46 to Ropeid, continuing towards Sauda with impressive views along the way. From Stavanger take the E39 north and join the E134 eastwards. In the summer, the FV 520 road from Røldal is popular. Check in at Sauda Fjord Hotel

Caravans etc: Caravans are popular on a seasonal basis through the winter (for the skiing) and touring caravans and camper vans (RVs, bobiler) are welcome in the summer season. 
Camping: The tent camping area is flat, with short grass and with good access by hard roadways, just a few metres from the water of Saudafjord |
