Skiing in Sirdal is growing - the first chairlift in the valley, an express 4 seat version,
is ready for use.
Sirdal Alpint opened skiing at Tjorhomfjellet in January 2005 with a small family-friendly
area including a rope tow for beginners and button lift. Now they have completed the next
stage of their development with a chairlift taking more skiers higher up the mountain

The new chairlift has a capacity of 2400 people per hour, is 1500 metres long, with the main run
down being 2 km long.
Up to now, lift queues have been a feature of skiing in Sirdal, but this new lift should help skiers
get to where they want to be - back up at the top of the mountain.
Sirdal Alpint opened the first part of their resort in early 2005, with the button lift and
rope tow for beginners at Huldreheimen - the family-friendly skiing area.
The new chairlift opens up a new area to more advanced skiers, with opportunities for off-piste
skiing, as well as several new runs of varying difficulty.
The Sirdal Alpint website is in Norwegian.
