Welcome to a new ski season at Tjørhomfjellet in Sirdal

23 November 2010

Winter has come to Sirdal. Snow has come several times and now it has been cold and clear - perfect for running the snow cannons. This weekend there was a good solid base of around 15 cm of snow and Tjørhomfjellet and the team were busy making sure that the snow production was going full speed day and night.

The big news is that the Huldreheimen side of the resort should open this weekend - Saturday 27 November. The chairlift side will open later on.

Please contact us if you have questions or comments.

Snow cannons working hard

Easter will be late in the season this year, so they want to be sure of a good snow base before the slopes are opened - but with the combination of natural snow and production from the snow cannons it will be possible to open the Huldreheimen side this weekend - 27 November

Opening Huldreheimen this weekend 27 November!!

Sirdal Alpint hope to open the Huldreheimen family-friendly side this weekend. That means the rope tow for beginners and the button lift (tallerken heis).

The main chair lift will NOT be open until later.

Sirdal skiskole is also based here and Thomas and the other instructors will be ready to help you learn to ski or improve your skills with skis or snowboard.
