Gladmat food festival is from 25th to 28th July

Gladmat is the food festival that fills the main harbour in Stavanger each summer and - whisper it - has been blessed with very good weather. This year it is from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th July. Did you know that there is a festival artist each year (with an exhibition at Galleri Sult) who designs a unique dinner plate (tallerken) in cooperation with Figgio pottery. These plates are used (and taken home) by the guests at the Gladmat Sinatra-style dinner (1250 kr.) You can also order one of the plates (500 kr.)

New 1 week roundtrip tour from Stavanger through Ryfylke Sauda Hovden and Lysefjord

This can be done as a short break, but better as a full week, island hopping through Ryfylke, up to Sauda, over to Hovden and back over the Suleskar road and the Lysefjord ferry. It takes 4 ferries and 3 roads that are only open during the summer, with lots of things to do and see along the way - with links to details on many pages of the site.
