Description: Tjørhomfjellet ski resort is part of Sirdal Fjellheiser in upper Sirdal -now one of the largest skiing centres in Norway, with a 4 seat express chairlift and 9 drag lifts. It merged with Ålsheia skisenter for the 2008 season. Tjorhomfjellet has two sides - and two flavours: The Huldreheimen family area of button lift and rope tow for beginners is on the left; the chairlift goes higher and faster, with several runs, possibly some off-piste skiing and now with links to and from Aalsheia 
Location description:: Tjørhomfjellet ski resort is 85 km from Stavanger, on RV 45 just before it drops down into Sirdal, at Sinnes. From here it is 2 km to Sinnes, 30 km north up Sirdal to Adneram, or 30 km south to Tonstad.
Number of food / drink options: 2 Food and Drink: IsSlottet is the main cafe on the chairlift side. You can also get hot and cold food and drink at the Ski rental shop on the Huldreheimen side Park facilities: There were limited park facilities here in 2007 facilities for beginners:: The Huldreheimen side has a beginners rope tow that is perfect for first starting to ski. Beside it is a button lift and (mainly) green run down evening skiing:: On the Ålsheia side 3 evenings a week, with skibus on Wednesday from Stavanger |

opening times:: See the Tjorhomfjellet website. Tuesday - Sunday and every day VinterFerie and Easter prices:: A daycard is 300 kr (230 for children over 7) or ... kr per day for the Huldreheimen button lift only (... for children over 7). Many other prices are available, from clip-cards up to a season ticket. Note that for safety reasons, children under 10 cannot travel on the chairlift without an adult being present.  Directions: Tjorhomfjellet ski resort is close to Sinnes in Sirdal, on the RV 45 road from Stavanger and Sandnes, just before it joins the FV 468 that runs up through Sirdal. From Sandnes turn left off the RV 45 over the bridge. Keep left for Huldreheimen button lift and ski hire, or right for the chairlift.
Public transport options: Skibus services to both Ålsheia and Tjørhomfjellet each weekend and holidays from Stavanger - Sandnes and Hommersak - Sandnes, plus evening bus to Aalsheia from Stavanger on Wednesday 
Ski School: Yes, ski school is available for individuals or small groups. Book in advance. Ski Rental: The Tjørhomfjellet ski rental shop is on the Huldreheimen side, with another at Ålsheia OffPiste: From the top of the chairlift it is possible to ski off-piste over quite a large area - at your own risk.
