Beautiful peaceful gardens around the concert hall with kids playground including large slide built into hillside. Good views over the fjord from top of the hill.

autumn colours Enjoy a stroll through the old part of town, Gamle Stavanger, to this lovely park, home for the Concert House and Stavanger Music School. Bring a good book and relax in the gardens. Free lunchtime concerts in the concert hall throughout July.
The park is the venue for the big Cultural Festival on May 17th (Constitution Day) when everyone comes out in their own country's national dress to celebrate.

On foot:
Walk around the west side of the harbour and just beyond the north end of Gamle Stavanger, approx.1.5km from the fish market
By car:
Drive north out of town along Lokkeveien or along the harbour on to Borgermester Middelthons gt. Bjergsted park is then on the right.
Parking:

Along Rosenberggata, the road on the north side of the park.
By bus:

Local bus 8 from Stavanger Sentrum to Tasta
Distance from Stavanger: 1 km
