tower is owned by Telenor the telephone and communications company, and
it is not possible for the public to access the upper floors of the tower.
On Sundays there is a cafe open inside selling coffee and waffles for sightseers and walkers, with a picnic bench outside.
Bring a map and locate the hills that are pointed out by the dial supplied by Stavanger Turistforening, the organisation that promotes hiking in the area.
There is a walk around the tower that takes an hour, plus many trails in Sormarka woodland. The Iron age farm and Botanical gardens are also close by.

Drive south from central Stavanger on the motorway, getting off where it joins the E39. Right at the roundabout, left at the next roundabout, and up the hill along Ullandhaugveien, over the top past the tower, then right and right again, under Ullandhaugveien to the carpark.
At the bottom of the hill to the tower.
