Basic information
Color line is the biggest
ferry operator in Norway, with 7 routes. The Bergen - Stavanger -
Hirtshals Denmark route was added in April 2005.
The routes go to Hirtshals and Fredrikshavn in northern Denmark, Kiel
in Germany and Stromstad in Sweden.
This route was started in
April 2005, using M.S. Prinsesse Ragnhild, with 3 sailings per week,
taking 18 hours or more from Bergen.
This route is operated by
two ships: Christian IV is a conventional car ferry taking 4.5 hours,
and Silvia Ana is a smaller, faster ferry without cabins (the crossing
time is only 2.5 hours)
This route is operated by
the M.S. Color Traveller, which has limited facilities, and limited
opening times for bars and restaurants. Journey time about 5.5 hours.

M.S. Peter Wessel and takes a little over 6 hours.
This route to sweden takes
2.5 hours and is operated by M.S. Color Viking and M.S. Bohus
Oslo
- Hirtshals
This route is operated by
Color Festival, taking 8.5 hours during the day (northbound to Oslo)
and 12.5 hours through the night (southbound)
This route is operated by
the M.S. Color Fantasy and the Kronprins Harald, with departures at
14.00, taking 19.5 hours
