Skiing
near Bergen Norway
There
is not normally usable snow in Bergen itself - although we remember
being able to take the Fløyen funicular railway, put skis
on and within minutes be far away from any city, deep in the mountains
- global warming means that is mainly a wonderful memory, but there
are many downhill resorts and cross-country ski areas within reach
- Voss is only 1.5 hours away by car or train.
Many people going further afield drive to Geilo
or Hemsedal in Buskerud, or take the train.
