Giljastølen Cross-country Skiing

Beautiful area for cross-country skiing for all ages and abilities. Also a small ski lift and a few slalom slopes.
This is often one of the closest places to Stavanger with good skiable snow - with no guarantee of snow even here.  Enjoy it when you can!

Baby happily asleep in pulk despite minus 10 degrees outside!

only three years old but enjoying a ski tour Ideal area for beginners or families skiing with a pulk, especially to the west of the road where there are prepared tracks. Relax and explore, or join the serious ones racing around the loops.
Take the ski lift up for extended tours up on the plateau.
