Helicopter flightseeing from Stavanger
For a special celebration,
or once in a lifetime experience why not take a helicopter flightseeing trip from Stavanger
to see Pulpit Rock, or a longer sightseeing trip to get a bird's eye view of many
famous attractions around Lysefjord.
This can be a unique opportunity for people with limited mobility
to see Pulpit Rock, Kjerag and Månafossen waterfall. |

You
have a choice of the Robinson 44 helicopter with 3 passengers or the
Eurocopter EC-120 with 4 passengers. A flight in the R-44 to Pulpit Rock (about 30 minutes) costs 2990 kroner (just under 1000 per passenger) or 4500 in the Eurocopter. The longer (about 1 hour) trip to Ørsdalsvannet lake, Gloppedal moraine, Månafossen waterfall, high mountains, Kjerag, Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock is 5900 kroner in the R-44 or 8900 in the larger Eurocopter. Flights begin at Stavanger Sola airport but you can be picked up somewhere else, e.g. the ferry terminal in central Stavanger - but you pay from the airport, and extra for any additional flying time.
