New flights for Stavanger from spring 2007

8 March 2007
Stavanger is getting extra flights starting this spring - led by Norwegian, which will set up a new base here, with one Boeing 737 based here, and two more planned.
The good news includes a new airline - Air Baltic, and increased frequency for KLM.
All this means more options for visiting Stavanger for a weekend break

... which means more options for weekend breaks in Stavanger

so much to do in Stavanger without even leaving town The Stavanger region is well-suited to a weekend break, whether you like to wander around cobbled streets and old wooden houses, or take a boat trip to Lysefjord, hike to Pulpit Rock, visit some of the excellent museums (like the modern Oil Museum), or hire a car and visit Månafossen waterfall and the boulder moraine at Gloppedal
In the winter you can also ski here - with skibuss services to Sirdal, and skiboats to Sauda and Røldal as well - see the Stavanger - Sirdal ski weekend

So many attractions - but possibly the best part is that partly thanks to the large international influence of the oil industry, Stavanger has many really good restaurants and a lively nightlife too.
