Tjørhomfjellet skiing chairlift in Sirdal

Sirdal Alpint opened a four-seat express chair-lift to take you high up into the snow in January 2006. This was the first chair lift in Sirdal, with a lift capacity of 2400 people per hour - the queue-buster that Sirdal had been needing.
IN 2011 there is NO connection with Ålsheia Alpint!!
Tjørhomfjell opened the family-friendly Huldreheimen area in January 2005.

faster and more relaxing than a drag-lift! The chair lift is 1500m long, with the main run down being 2 kilometers long. There are several alternate routes, with a lot of potential off-piste skiing - but take great care (especially near steep slopes) and make sure you have the number to the ski patrol with you. Deep snow in 2012 increases the avalanche risk!
It is now possible to ski from the chairlift on the green run (towards Ålsheia) then using another button lift you can ski back again on a green run to the bottom of the chairlift.
This side of the resort is for more advanced skiers. There is also a family area called Huldreheimen with button lift, rope tow for beginners and sledging area. This is also where the ski hire shop is located.
Note that there is FREE parking for 500 cars on this side (and up to 200 on the Huldreheimen side - some other Sirdal ski resorts now charge for parking!
