Ski
bus Stavanger to Ålsheia skisenter in Sirdal
This
service runs Wednesday and Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday during the ski season, plus every
day of Easter, and the winter school holiday, called vinterferie,
in late February.
Note: 2010 season this service goes to Ålsheia, with some buses stopping at Tjørhomfjellet. At the weekend it is possible to ski at both
Tjørhomfjellet and Ålsheia using one liftpass (heiskort).

Bus
timetable
The bus - skibussen - is operated by
Veolia and
departs Stavanger central bus station (Byterminal)
at 08:15, via Sandnes and Ålgård, arriving at about 10:30
The return jouney leaves Aalsheia Alpint at 16:15 (16.25 from Tjørhomfjellet) and arrives back in Stavanger at
about 18:20
The Wednesday and Friday evening Ålsheia ski bus leaves Stavanger at 15.15 and returns at 21.00
There are bus services from Randaberg, Hundvåg and Sandnes in addition to the Stavanger departures.
Prices
It costs 400 kroner for a
return day ticket or 350 kroner for evening skiing, including a ski pass for Aalsheia - which
is a very good deal.
Pay on the bus - no need to queue for a lift-pass when you arrive.
The bus takes cash, Mastercard and Visa.
Booking
There is no online booking this year.

snow and weather conditions

Aalsheia Alpint is the biggest skisenter in
Sirdal, and
since 2008 it has been possible to ski to and from neighbouring Tjorhomfjellet with a new lift and ski runs between the two.
In 2010 the two centres are separate companies but operate with a shared liftpass (heiskort).
